HOW DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

All information collected will be stored within our website's server, google drive, newsletter or social media accounts.

At this point in time, KR does not have premises. Anyone working with the KR works from home on their personal devices. They have been informed to ensure proper security measures (i.e. password protection) are taken for accessing information relating to the KR.

Any information that’s collected on paper (i.e. mailing list sign-up sheets) will be handled in a safe and secure manner (i.e. locked drawers in home offices) until it is uploaded onto our database and securely destroyed when it is no longer required.

All information contained on our website's server, including emails, will be backed up securely on our hosting server for the sole purpose of retrieving data if problems occur with our website.

 

HOW LONG DO WE STORE YOUR DATA?

The length of time data is stored is dependent on the type of information and its purpose. We only keep data for the time during which it is relevant.

• ​●  Personal information pertaining to mailing lists and memberships will be kept until you opt out of this service.

• ​●  Information pertaining to contractors, volunteers, and affiliated service providers will be kept for a minimum of 6 years after they end working with KR and the data will be deleted within a reasonable administrative timeframe thereafter.

• ​●  Personal data will be systematically reviewed on a bi-annual basis to remove any personal data that is no longer required.

• ​●  Sensitive information pertaining to complaints will be kept for a minimum of 6 years and the data will be deleted within a reasonable administrative timeframe thereafter.

• ​●  Sensitive information pertaining to safeguarding notifications will be kept for a minimum of 25 years.

The only marketing KR undertakes is in relation to offering our services which may include limited market research relating to our work.
